About Aasira
Started by our dedicated and visionary leaders in 2023, Aasira seeks to grow into an impactful Education Movement. Our mission is to bridge the gender gap in STEM by providing gender minorities with opportunities and resources to excel in these fields. Through our programmes and initiatives, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation of tech leaders, and guide them on how to grab and use educational opportunities to have a significant social impact.
At Aasira, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable world where gender doesn't limit anyone's potential in STEM.
What We Believe In
Everyone Counts
Amplifying the voice
Young leaders are the core of our movement. We believe that youth has the power to drive changes and thus their opinions and perspectives should be elevated and amplified to the highest levels of change-making. Our programmes specifically target to unmute the vulnerable sections of society who deserve to be heard and have a say in the making of the future.
Community Building
We strive for fabricating an environment that promotes inclusive development and accommodates all members irrespective of their caste, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, sexuality and economic status. We appreciate the different backgrounds that people bring with them on board.
Mission-driven Action
STEM gender gap, a domain of gender equality is an issue that requires an assiduous attitude- we support social issues traversing with gender equality, discrimination, representation in media, disability, opportunities in STEM for women and many more. We seek to align the movement with combatting the gender gap in STEM disciplines.
